03 High Passes Of Everest, is strenuous & demanding trek goes over three high passes of Everest region. It's more than anything for the ambitious trekker, who target to cross high passes without the compulsion to any technical climbing. Heading towards Everest base camp through Sherpa land and famous Tengbouche Monastery, we will cross Kongma La, the first pass that offers close up views of Nuptse and Lhotse wall. After capturing classic climbing route to the summit of Mt. Everest in our camera from Khumbu glacier to Kalapattar. We compete for a spectacular traverse over Cho La (next pass) we enter the alpine pastures and lakes of Gokyo to the west, dominated by the great peaks of Cho-Oyu and Gyanchungkang. From Gokyo RI, we gain further outstanding views of Everest before heading over the Renjo La (third pass) to the wild upper Bhote Kosi. Useful Info

TREK GRADE

Loben Expeditions trips are designed for flexible, energetic people who like to be active and have a spirit of adventure and a positive attitude. We rate this trip as an “Challenging” You should be an experienced hiker in good physical condition. Most days are spent at altitudes above 4000 m (the highest elevation on trek is the hike to the Kalapattar at 5548 m), and our hikes will be between five and six hours & longer some day with walk on steep slopes, screes & moraines.

Porters or pack animals carry most of the gear and camp supplies, leaving you free to hike with only a light day pack. Even so, trekking at high altitudes is strenuous. Exercise at high altitude compounds the physiologic stress. In addition, high altitude may create discomfort and symptoms of illness that you do not experience while exercising at lower elevations, such as shortness of breath, restlessness or sleeplessness at night, and headaches. You need to be in excellent health and top physical condition to enjoy such an experience, with adequate cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and excellent balance. No technical climbing or other special abilities are required.
