Situated at an altitude of 4,919 metres, Tilicho Lake is a lake located in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas and is known as the highest lake for its size in the world even though there are lakes at higher altitude even in Nepal.

Tilicho Lake is the destination of one of the most popular side hikes of the Annapurna Circuit trek. The route skirting Tilicho Lake from the north has been gaining popularity for hardcore trekkers due to it involment of crossing Mesokantha pass. This route is more demanding and requires at least two night of camping. There are no teahouses or lodges past the Tilicho Base Camp lodge.

We follow traditional Annapurna Circuit route to Manang. From Manang, we trek left of main trail toward Khangsar village to reach Tilicho Lake. It takes four  days from Manang to reach Jomsom via Tilicho Lake crossing Mesokantha pass.
