Introduction

Program

Date & Cost

This program to takes you to the south east of Tibet - Tsedang, the origin place of Tibetan politics, economy and culture so that it produces numerous "first". The first king Natri Tsanpo; the first palace Yunbulakang Palace; the first cropland Sodang; the first Buddhist Sutra Panghonchaja and the first Tibetan opera Pakghapu are all associated with Tsedang. Tsedang has been called "the hub of Tibetan civilization". Tsedang is also renowned throughout Tibet for its two sacred lakes Yumdruk Yumtso and Lhamo Lhatso. Lhamo Lhatso lake is extraordinary magic. It is located in the Gyatsa County and means "Goddess Lake" in Tibetan language. The holy lake looks like a smooth mirror when look down it from the snow-capped peak which is 5,100 meters above sea level. It is said that the holy lake will show pictures of future events and reveal one's future fortune if one piously stares at the lake. The reincarnations of successive Dalai Lhama were always sought under the enlightenment of the Holy Lake. The Dalai lamas have traditionally made pilgrimages to Lhamo La- Tso to seek vision which appears on the surface of the oracle lake.
